TAIS DCS in Bucharest

6 June 2012

On 25th May, 2012, operation of TAIS DCS was started at Otopeni (Bucharest), the main airport of Romania. A total of 15 daily WizzAir flights, with 80Ц90 % load, were transferred from the Baneasa airport to Otopeni within one day.

TAIS DCS was the choice of ROMANIAN AIRPORT SERVICES Ч RAS. The ground handling company, lead by President Dorin Ivascu and General Manager Alexandra Huzuneanu, is focused on providing services to low-cost airlines.

As the Baneasa airport was changing its specialization towards the needs of the business aviation, a task of being able to serve airline customers at Otopeni became urgent for RAS. A number of challenges had to be addressed: replacing a local DCS with a new one that would integrate into the IT environment of a modern airport; arranging and executing the migration of all flights in one effort.

Well-balanced TAIS commercial terms and state-of-the-art technical features of the system were just some pros of TAIS DCS.
